Sri Lanka to host beach festival in Negombo

Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau is preparing to host the Negombo Beach Festival to attract visitors to the country.
The Bureau has a host of activities planned for the beach rave to be held over 3 days from 11th to 13th Dec 2009, at Negombo Beach, located within 6km from the Bandaranaike International Airport and 37km from Colombo.
According to the organizers, the festival will be based around themed beach activities varying from traditional fishing activities, dolphin watching, family activities and other water based activities.
In addition to beach activities there will be various other street activities including road side restaurants, bars, and transport services to historic sites of the city. Activities have also been planned for children including games and attractions for all ages.
