The National Geographic Travelers Magazine includes Sri Lanka among the 6 countries which are most suitable for travelling next year.
The National Geographic Travellers International Magazine has included Sri Lanka among the 6 countries that are most attractive for travelling in next year. The November December issue of the magazine has pointed out that cultural heritage intrinsic to the country, enchanting sea beaches , mountain ranges and forests have intensified the tourist attraction. The national geographic has also revealed on the islands in the north. It also says that Sri Lanka’s tourism sector has exceeded a growth rate of 52 percent last year in comparison to the figure recorded in 2009. The magazine adds that tourism growth would further accelerate in Sri Lanka by the end of this year due to the free and peaceful environment prevailing in the country. Many mega hotel companies in the world have come forward to invest in the country.
