Negotiations on for Lighthouse
Hayleys is negotiating with the Cinnovation Group run by Nepali businessman Binod Chaudhary to sell its 27% stake in Lighthouse, an upmarket hotel in Galle.
This newspaper in its last week’s edition reported on these pages that Chaudhary is looking to buy Hayleys/its subsidiary Carbotel’s minority stakes in all of the hotels jointly operated by the Hayleys Group and Jetwing, in which the Hayleys Group has minority stakes.
Recently Hayleys exited from Vil Uyana and Seashells hotels, by selling their 49% and 50% stakes held in these hotels respectively for a total of Rs. 175 million.
